Square Not Letting Me Add Employee Without Upgrading To Shifts

Cliffs:

 

There are 4 of us active. I would like to add our newest hire. Square won't allow me to do this without upgrading to Shifts. Can someone tell me how I can add a 5th Active Team member without needing to upgrade to Shifts?

Hey there @RuckusDonuts.  My guess is that you didn’t realize that the “first” of the five allowed team members is the master account owner.  If you have 4 team members in addition to that, then you have reached the limit of five.  There is no way (nor should there be) to deactivate the owner team member.

Ugh.  Well it was worth a try.  At this point, all you can do is get in touch with Square Support, then.  They are going to have to sign into your account on their end and figure out what is going on, and whether or not it is an issue that needs to be escalated to the product team.  Good luck. And if you can figure out how they finally resolve this, it would be great to hear what was found and done.

It was resolved. 

 

Like magic or something we could add our 5th member without upgrading to Shifts.

 

Plus, and this was so strange, all of the shoes were repaired in the morning LOL
