Is there a way to create additional logins to the square dashboard for managers etc?

Hi! I have a couple of managers who have my master password to the Square Dashboard. They use it to change menus, make the schedule, etc. They need this level of access to do their jobs, but it also means that have access to change bank account info, even transfer the business to someone else, or deactivate the account. This seems insane to me!

Is there a way that I can give a manager access to the things they need, give them their own login and password, and limit their access to those scary high-level things?

Hi @TheLiterary.  There is, but it might require a Teams subscription of some sort.  The standard Teams subscription comes with one set of permissions (in addition to owner permissions, of course), and you are probably already using this for your regular employees.  In order to create a new “manager” set of permissions, you need a paying subscription if you don’t have one already.  Once you have that, you can go to your online dashboard > Team > Permissions, and create the new permission set.  Then you’ll need to review all permissions, after which you’ll assign your managers to that permission set.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I forgot to mention that when you set up your managers team records, you’ll need to be sure they have an email address associated with them.  They can then create a password and use their personal credentials to sign into the dashboard, rather than using yours.
