I just want a few volunteers with limited permissions to be able to accept credit card payments at an upcoming event. Having them do all the rigamarole with the square team app is a lot of trouble. Is there any way to avoid this?
Hello @SCVQA ! Welcome to the Seller Community!
This is definitely doable without having to worry about the Teams app.
I recommend setting up a team passcode and having your volunteers use that for logging in to your device. Here is a help file that will step you through the process.
Once you've done that, on your device go to More -> Settings -> Security and enable Team Passcode.
While you're on this screen, I also recommend that you enable "To Back out of a Sale" so that nobody can cancel a card payment and ring it as cash. It's a trick a lot of scammers are trying to pull.
Hope this helps!

Hi, @SCVQA ! Welcome to the Square Community!
I would do exactly what @ryanwanner has suggested to achieve this. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
Thanks Ryan for your input here!
Hi Summer2024. Is the only solution that we enter those personal details as per the solution? Is there an option for someone with the Square app installed to input a code to access front end sales lines?
Thanks, Russell
