Force clock in for checkout

Hello,

 

I’ve noticed the disappearance of a feature that used to be very useful.

 

I have the employee management subscription, and previously, when an employee completed a checkout without clocking in, a clock-in prompt would appear and force them to clock in. That is no longer the case, which leads to employees forgetting to clock in and major discrepancies with reality.

 

Does anyone know if this feature is gone, or if it’s a setting that has changed, and how to reactivate it?

Hi, @Djimmy !

 

Do you have time tracking set up? This would require your employees to enter a passcode when they get started, to avoid not clocking in. 

 

"Timecards should automatically be activated on your account after you assign a passcode to your team members. If you do not see a clock in the bottom-right corner when you are logged into the Square app, follow these steps:

  1. From your Square Point of Sale app, tap Settings > Shifts.

  2. For Time tracking, toggle on Track team member time.

Your team members can now clock in and out in the app using their individual passcodes." 

 

This should keep them from being able to take a sale before clocking in.

Hello,

 

everything is correctly activated and configured.

My teams can clock in and out of work, but previously, if they forgot to clock in when they arrived and wanted to check out a customer, the clock-in page would appear, forcing them to clock in. This is no longer the case today.

Can you check why this is happening or tell me how to reactivate it?
