Hey all
I own a barber shop and pay my employees a commission based on services performed (ie haircut or shave).
I am considering Square Payroll, but is there a way for me to set a commission rate per barber? And if so, how?
For example: I don’t pay an hourly wage, but instead the barber makes 60% of every service they provide and the shop keeps 40%. Barber also keeps 100% of gratuities.
thanks!!
@LovelandBarber There is! From your dashboard, go to Team -> Commissions. There, you define how to calculate commissions (things such as excluding processing fees and discounts), as well as set up tiers if you want. Save that.
Note that you can also set up commissions on item sales.
Then go to each employee in the Team Members tab, scroll down to the Job & Compensation section and set their individual commission rate.

Good luck!

Thanks Chip! I’ll definitely explore that feature tonight.
