I signed up with Guideline to manage staff retirement accounts. I got a notice a few months ago that it was transferred to Vestwell. I want to cancel Vestwell and was told there is a $500 cancellation fee.
I never signed up for a plan with a cancellation fee under Guideline and find it shady that my plan transferred to one with a cancellation fee.
Did Vestwell require a signed contract for people to start using them when they took over?
Did Square know that Vestwell required a cancellation fee when they switched from Guideline?
Very upset about this.
