Can I Export ALL Account Data to Open a New Account Due to Legal Name Change?

Given I had a legal name change a couple of years ago and still cannot change owners unless I create a new account, is there a way to export ALL data (e.g., payroll, invoices, reports, item info, history, etc.) from my current account for import into a completely new account?  Please advise.

You are able to export/import items and your customer directory. You can also export reports, however, it is not possible to import those into the new account. 

 

I understand this is a frustrating situation, and I highly recommend you submit your feedback to the Seller Community Ideate boards. This is where we track all of our feature requests from Sellers on this forum.

Thanks for your reply (and for your understanding)!  I'll make a note and begin the process of exporting items, reports, invoices, and my customer directory.  This sounds like it might be an arduous undertaking, but I'll do what I need to to make sure my account is set how it needs to be. 

 

This has been an issue for many for several years at this point.  I would like to request that Square really take a SERIOUS look into this for the seller community, as it is necessary.  This isn't just a "nice-to-have," per the boards I read BEFORE posting this specific question.
