From reading around the internet, it sounds like this should be possible via stock conversion, but I can't figure it out. Selling beer and want to be able to sell it as a single, 4-pack and a case of 24. With inventory tracking on the singles but when a 4-pack is sold, it takes 4 singles out of inventory. Is this possible?
Yes you are on the right track you would need to sell by units and the Stock Conversion.

I sell tappers for example by the Tapper, By the Dozen and by the case.
I had to setup the Smallest unit as the main Item so the Tapper.
When I receive these I add them to inventory by Individual. Square automatically calculates how many of the larger units I can sell.
Square does have a rounding issue or did with this. Square would show say 19 Tappers which would be over 1.5 Dozens and still show that I could sell 2 Dozen tapers, for example. The other issue is when I scanned a Barcode to sell a Dozen, Square for Retail would ask How many? Here you have to enter how many Dozen you are selling. No idea why I can not just scan the 2 dozen the customer brought to the counter. If they brought 1 dozen to the Counter even after scanning I would have to enter 1.
So for you, you would need to eventory and receive each Bottle / can of beer, Use stock conversions for both a 4-pack and a case of 24. So you could not receive 1 pallet of beer that has 72 cases for example you would need to calculate how many individual beers you purchased.
Since I am not sure where you are having troubles this is as much as I can assist with until I get better issues you are having and Or screen shots of what you currently have. But saying your having Trouble Figuring It out gives us in the community no idea where your having issues and what you can not figure out.
