SAVED CARTS NOT UPDATING SINCE TWO REVISIONS BACK
We have observed that starting 2 updates back that saved carts will not update on other ipads Square stands unless the app is terminated and restarted. Seems to be some kind of synchronization thing. For example you setup the saved cart with one item, then many minutes later you go back and add a second item. The ipad you entered the changes to updates correctly, but any other ipad will not show the update. The time stamp does update on other ipads, but the items added to the cart after the initial items will not populate. If you force terminate the app and restart, the cart will then be updated. Please note you can not save a cart and then go back and add more items instantly, there must be a several minute time gap before adding for this problem to occur. This happened many years ago as well, and now its back again..

Hello @MountainHouse,
This sounds incredibly frustrating! I am not currently seeing any reports on this, but I am happy to get this figured out. Can you provide some more details:
1) What Retail app version are you on?
2) Are you using an iPad by itself or with the Square stand?
3) If you could, please provide a video of the cart not updating.

I am having the exact same problem described here and it started at the same time. I am using Square for Retail. My main cash register is an iPad on the Square stand. The secondary iPad is not attached to a square stand, just plugged into power and connected to the same wifi. The whole purpose of this second iPad was for saving carts (bar tabs, for us). It was going great for a long time. But since it stopped working, the second iPad is basically useless, and we're back to having to wait for the main checkout to be free before we can make adjustments to saved carts.
Just as the OP stated, if you force the app to close and then restart it, the cart updates properly. Otherwise, it does not update across the two devices.
