How to delete Categories & Vendors in Square for Retail

Hi, I am trying to figure out how I delete unused/unwanted categories and vendors in Square Retail. It is very frustrating, one wrong keystroke an you end up with "Suggested Categories" and random vendors. Please help so I don't keep selecting categories and vendors made in error! Thanks!

Venders you can only deactivate not delete but categories can be deleted from your Square Dashboard.

Squareup-Items-Categories.... on the right side are 3 blue dots.... select those and you can choose to rename or delete.

Same steps but you go to Inventory Management- then vendors and then the three blue dots on the right to deactivate.
