Discounted items getting tax removed automatically

This is an odd issue that I am having, but I sell an item that when the customer buys 2 it is discounted. I just found today that when a customer buys 4 it randomly removes the tax so it is not taxed. If I scan 1, 2, 3 or 5 the tax is applied. When I scan 4, it says Tax (Off). It is strictly on 4 items.

Some of this does sound off, but it's difficult to pinpoint what may be happening without looking at your account with you. I recommend that you double-check your Discount Settings first and see if any changes need to be made there. If everything is set up correctly in your Discount Settings but you are still experiencing this issue, please reach out to our Support Team directly.
