Restaurant POS and iPad not syncing

We have a POS that we use for taking orders and because of business growth we’ve added an iPad for taking orders as well. I have downloaded Square - Restaurant POS and added the device, but the orders are not syncing from the iPad to the register and vice versa.  I have completed the apple update and have the current version from the App Store as well.  I don’t know what else to check or what setting needs to be adjusted.

1) Just to confirm, how are you signing into both apps? 

2) What Square hardware post are you using? 

 

3) What's an order number that still isn't showing in Square Restaurants.
