How do we remove "Order Timing" from team permissions on the Square Register POS? This setting is going to cost us tens of thousands in lost revenue. Here's why:
We are a multi-store chain with over 20 locations. In setting up the new Square for Restaurants today, the team immediately became excited about the potential to eliminate delivery. From experience using third-party platforms like Chowly, Cuboh, ChowNow, Doordash, etc., team members LOVE TO TURN OFF DELIVERY. Because of this, we removed all third-party tablets and enabled it so that only Senior-Level Management could do this. If a store needs to remove or pause delivery, they must first contact senior managers.
We do not have the time or resources to micro-manage this. How do we turn it off?

You can configure your team's permission sets to disable this.
Dashboard -> Staff -> Team -> Permissions -> [permission name]
Look for the Orders section, then disable "Configure fulfillment preferences for shipping, and pausing/prep times on POS" section.
If you're not using the upgraded Advanced Access, you can create one permission set that has the order settings blocked then use that common PIN for your team.

Do you manage delivery orders in Square? I don't recall a time when our team had to contact the driver.

@indianathomas with Square for Restaurants, you typically don’t need to directly contact the driver. If you’re using Square’s built-in delivery features or integrated delivery partners, the delivery dispatch and driver communication are handled automatically within the platform. Is it asking you to make contact with the driver?
no, I’m trying to get it so that the team members cannot turn off delivery. From past experience team members will shut the delivery platform off early which cost us tens of thousands of dollars between all of our 18 locations.
