How to set menu as default view on square terminal rather than floor plan

We have recently installed our first ever Square POS system.

When staff log into our terminals, the floor plan opens as default and in order to start inputting orders from the bar, we need to click on the menu.

Is there a way that we can get the menu page to open as default when logging in rather than floor plan.

We are a bar rather than a restaurant and have only really set up a floor plan in order to allow us to run tabs easily for some of our guests.

Welcome to the Community, and apologies for the delay in getting back to you on this. 

At this time, there isn't an option to load the Menu screen as a default on your Point of Sale when Floor Plans are enabled. 

I've reached out to our Restaurants team to check if there is anything in the pipeline that would address this feature gap, and they have confirmed that it is being actively discussed. So, I'd suggest raising a feature request on our Ideate board, to show your support for its implementation, and highlight your individual use-case. 

As a workaround in the meantime, our product team has suggested disabling the "Use Open Tickets as the home screen" option. When enabled the POS will default to Floor Plans (if present), or the checks list otherwise. When it's disabled, your POS should go back to the Menu screen.

To edit this setting, head into Device Profiles on your Dashboard, then select Manage. 

I'll keep an eye out for developments on this, and let you know here if there are any updates that may be of interest to you.

OMG this thread FINALLY helped me figure out how to get the floor plans page as my default!! As a full service restaurant this is what I've been looking for and spent HOURS asking support how to do it, and we couldn't figure it out! All I had to do was turn on the use Open Tickets as the Home Screen. Nowhere on there does it say it would use floor plans if we have a floor plan setup and I assumed it would just take us to the tickets instead of the menu.... wish the rest of the support team knew this because Ive asked 20+ agents and nobody could help me. Thank you!!!
