Expected on field not showing on Vendor Purchase Order

Hi, When we set up a Purchase Order in Square, we can enter a date into the "expected on" field. This is our delivery date. Unfortunately, the vendor cannot see this date on their end. How can we change this so the vendor can see the expected on date?

Hi, @Treasurer26 ! Welcome to the Square Community. We are so glad to have you here!

The “Expected On” date in Square Purchase Orders is internal only. It’s used for your inventory planning and reporting, but it is not included in the vendor-facing PO email and cannot currently be made visible to the vendor.

Workaround options:

Add the Delivery Date in Notes

Before sending the PO:

  • Add the delivery date in the notes section.
    Example:

    • “Requested delivery date: March 15, 2026”

That field is visible to vendors.

Add It to a Custom Line in the PO

  • Add a non-inventory line item labeled:
    “Delivery Date – March 15, 2026”

  • Set price to $0

Not ideal, but it ensures visibility

I hope this helps!
