Hi,
is there away of adding the allergens of items to the product for display when customers are ordering?
e.g A bacon sandwich
Gluten & dairy are highlighted somewhere
This way when a customer presents an allergy, the server can see the allergies in each food item.
Any other help on adding/ seeing allergies on items would good.
thanks
The only place I have found to put them is within the item description in the library item section. They're also displayed in the time description on my website. good luck hopefully someone else has a better answer 🙂
Hi @Brewcoffeeshop thanks for your post 🙂
Yes - if you are selling items in person, then I would follow @OTCF suggestion here.
For Square Online you can create a specific food & beverage item type that displays extra information for buyers, such as dietary preferences and allergens.
Square for Restaurants: We've recorded our Ingredients and allergens for our Menu items in Square. They show up when ordering on-line, but not in the Square Terminal for the staff to see, or on the customer display. Is there any way to change that?
thanks,

Hi @Rob_Salsman!
Thanks for your post, and welcome to the Community!
As it stands, this would be considered a feature request. I can see that this is on the radar of our product development team, however I can confirm it is not on the immediate road-map for implementation.
I've gone ahead and merged your post with a thread where other Community members have highlighted the need for this feature, and discussed a workaround. This will allow the Community moderation team to update all concerned of any developments.
I'll be sure to keep a close eye on that conversation with our product team, as I can see why this would be of benefit to all our Sellers in the food & beverage industry.
