Unable to update any information to get started with payroll. "Something went wrong...."
I'm trying to sign up for the square payroll free trial. It won't let me update any information on my account. Every time I get, "Something went wrong. Please try again." So I called and spoke with a gentleman that told me to clear my browsing history and that would fix everything. Did it and it didn't fix the issue. Called again and spoke to a very helpful female. She updated the information on her end as we went. It looked like everything was resolved so I let her off the phone. Went to update the tax section and got the same error message. Called back. Unfortunately, I got the same gentleman who again told me I had to clear my browsing history (again) and re-log into square. Did it and it didn't work. I asked if he could just do what the female had done. No, he's not allowed to do that. He told me next I need to find a NEW browser and download it. He thinks google chrome is the issue. I said no, I want you to just do what the last rep did. Can't do that. I'm ashamed to say, I hung up on him out of frustration. Hours and phone calls later, I still can't update basic information. Does this have something to do with the fact that I've had square for 5+ years? Can you have an old square account?
Sorry if this is a duplicate. I tried to post this and it prompted me to create a sign in so it could post. After creating a sign-in, my original question/thread seems to be gone. So frustrated.
