Set up 2 commissions on one job

I have a mobile repair business how do I set it up so my service advisor and technician will get commission for the same job. One for selling and one for actually doing the job

I have confirmed the current commission settings only allow one staff member to receive a commission, per sale. The ability to assign multiple commissions for more than one staff member on the same sale is a feature request. Because of this, I have moved your post to our Ideate Board.

 

I've updated the status of your feature request to "Open". This step in the Feature Request process will be a time in which other Square Sellers can add their use cases to your idea to make it stronger and demonstrate further how much it is needed. Later on, we'll re-visit the most popular feature requests in the "Open for Votes" status and bring them to our Product Team. To other Sellers who see this feature, please “like” the post and reply with a use case that your business would have. This will help to signal that this feature request is even more important to address.

 

As for workarounds, here are a couple of suggestions:


1. Split the Commission Manually: You could manually calculate and split the commission between the service advisor and the technician after the sale.


2. Create Separate Sales Entries: If feasible, create two separate sales entries for the same job—one for the service advisor and one for the technician. This way, each can receive their respective commission.
