Enable 58mm Sticky Paper Option on Register

I'm pretty disappointed with Square Register.  We were using the first gen square Stand but "upgraded" last week to Register.  Register seems slower/slightly laggy in almost every operation vs the iOS version.

 

But worst of all is the fact that I can't change from 80mm down to 58mm sticky paper, and why is the font so BIG?!  80mm labels are WAY too big for any cup.  When our customers notice and ask why our labels look so ridiculous, it's a problem.  58mm paper is perfect.

 

Why did I pay for a flagship system that can't do all the things the basic iOS version can do? 

 

Why are these limitations not publicized on the product page from square? I feel like I got swindled.

 

Can we please get an update to fix this?!

Thank you for reaching out. On our website it does show the register is compatible with 80mm when again you right it does print off incorrectly.  I agree with you, we really missed the mark on providing the correct information to our sellers, and for that, I am truly sorry you are dealing with this.  It is certainly something our hardware team has escalated to the Product Team and Content and does look like it should be addressed beginning of 2023. I don't have an exact ETA for you but certainly something our team wants to get fixed and on the agenda. Again thank you so much for making sure we were aware of this!

Thanks for checking on this @rboparc. I did reach out to our team but have not had any response. I am going to assume this is not on the roadmap at this time.

Agreed!  The register is so glitchy.  We just put it in storage in case we need a back up at some point.  Disappointing, especially at the price point.

What label printer are you using? You are doing this from your Square Register correct? Can you show us what happens when you try and configure the paper from 80 mm to 58 mm. Could you provide a video of what is happening, that would be helpful @KayTeaStudio!
