On screen keyboard iPad

Hey all,

 

We're trying to add an alternative on-screen keyboard to our iPad to use with Square POS.  I installed GBoard, which works great in every other app, except Square POS.  The "globe" icon is missing and I can't select GBoard.  Is it blocked in Square somehow?

 

I have tried all these steps:

 

  1. Force close the Point of Sale app on your iPad and reopen it.
  2. Sign out of the app and sign back in again.
  3. Turn your iPad off, wait 30 seconds and then turn it back on again.
  4. Check you're using the latest version of the Point of Sale app on your iPad. (Head to the App Store app.)
  5. Delete and reinstall the app from your iPad. (Make sure you know your log in credentials for this too.)

Hi FreerideMP,

 

That may be a better question for Tech Support unless someone else in the Community has experience with this app.

Yea, tech support was not helpful at all.  Anyone have experience with this?

ANSWER!  Square support said that it is a security issue to use 3rd party keyboards...too bad.
