How to deduct price from modifiers

If all of my cheeseburgers come with fries and it is at $15.00 with modifiers to upcharge 4 more dollars for onion rings or poutine, however if they choose to just get the burger and want no fries how do i deduct 2.00 dollars  when add modifiers it does not let me put a negative price

Hi there @TheBushPilot.  The easiest way to do this is to change your mindset a little.  Don’t think about discounting, but rather think in terms of add-ons.

Set your Cheeseburger to be $13 (I think).  Then edit your modifier lists to charge $2 for fries and $4 for onion rings.  Also add a new modifier to that set for “No side” which will be $0.

When you attach your Sides modifier to the Cheeseburger, you can customize it and set Fries as the default, if you want.  Also, be sure to set the number of required modifiers from this set to 1 and the maximum number that can be selected to 1.   This will allow the customer (or your cashier) to change it as needed and will also ensure that they choose either Fries, Onion Rings or No Side, so that mistakes aren’t made during the ordering process.

Let me know if you need anything else.
