Thank you for your response, @Brent777. Taking a look at your account it does look like you are based in a country that is not supported by Square, unfortunately. As @faheem mentions, Square processing is only available in the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, the UK, Ireland, France, and Spain at this time.

Square Payments are only available in select countries right now, including: the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, the UK, Ireland, France, and Spain

I bank with Bank of America so not sure why I am still unable to accept payments?

Each institution is different, so I do not have an exact answer as to why you are able to bank with them, @Brent777.
With Square you are able to process cash payments and use basic Square functions like reporting with Square, but no card processing, if you are outside of those markets.

I mean to say that my account is American and square is linked to that account so why would it still not work? TIA

Processing eligibility is based on where your Square account/business is based, @Brent777. It appears that the Square account you are contacting us from is not based in the US (or any of the approved Square markets) and because of this is what determines if you can card process with Square.
