Reordering Subcategroies

I have a category built for area schools we do online work for. Each time I add a school as a subcategory it just puts it to the top of the list. Is there a way I can alphabetize that list or change the order they show as on my site?

Hi @TooDarkDesigns.  There is, actually.  You can’t do it automatically alphabetically, but you can do it manually.  Edit your categories in your Online Dashboard.  At the top of the screen you’ll see a blue “Rearrange” button.  Click it and you can use the arrows to move categories up/down the list.  Save it when you are done and then wait a while for the servers to catch up.  This will rearrange your categories across ALL sales channels, including your online store.

For the love of all things holy... I scrolled down just far enough from the ad thing on the top that I didn't see that! It's not a button on my screen but the same concept and I missed it. Thank you!

Thanks @TheRealChipA for sharing that info.

@TooDarkDesigns We recently rolled out the ability to drag & drop categories to rearrange them and to be able to nest categories to create subcategories. Hopefully this helps speed up rearranging categories!
