Payroll Reports for Unemployment Forms?

For a small business receiving many unemployment forms, the payroll reporting options and output are inadequate.  Are there any changes/updates coming to this platform?  I should be able to input exact dates and have the output be exactly that.  Currently it is not.

Heya @Juiced00 and welcome to the Community.

I reached out to the Payroll team for clarification on this one and to see what your options were.

At this time we do not have a report that provides all the information you may need for an unemployment claim in one place, however, the majority of this information can be found on your Square Payroll account.

- On the inactive payroll employee's profile, you can find their hire date and last day of employment, along with their compensation details such as job title and pay rate. The profile also contains personal information such as full name, address, and SSN.

- If you need historical payment history, you can also create a custom payroll report which can be found on the History & Reports tab within your Payroll dashboard. When creating a custom report, you can select the date range and also filter per a specific employee. For unemployment claims, you may want to use the Employee Totals or Paycheck Detail reports.

I also passed it along you're looking for more reporting types within the Payroll Dashboard also.

Thank you for your reply @ashc .

- I'm aware and have created custom reports via the History & Reports tab.  Unfortunately that is not the answer for what I need to run and can't gain the information required.  If I run a report for a week it is blank.  I can only run date ranges that fall within our  2 week pay periods.  Anything that would be outside this timeframe has be gathered via timecards and on a day by day manual basis.  For the most part, it renders the History & Reports option useless.  Other than needing payroll history on a weekly basis, we also receive requests from the state requesting payroll history by Quarter.  Meaning actual hours/wages earned in a given quarter, regardless of when the payroll date was.  In this day and age of technology, this process shouldn't require manual calculations to achieve the desired outcome.  This product is highly lacking in being a valuable aid or tool for a business.  I'm hoping for useful upgrades in the coming year.
