Online Orders for restaurants
We run a restaurant and use square to fulfill online order.
I think it is a major problem that customers can place their orders outside of our opening hours.
I just had a customer place an order after we closed online ordering. because we close online ordering on Saturdays their pick up time jumped to Sunday.
I don't think customers should be able to place orders outside of the restaurants opening hours.
is their a fix for this or do i need to bug a square rep.

I have run through the settings already. There is nothing from preventing a customer from placing an order without manually turning the online on/off everyday
The issue is we close online at 7 pm. our kitchen closes at 8pm. but a customer will place an order at 7:15pm, although they get a message with the next-day pickup time, they still want their food and as we are open we can fulfill their request, but do you see how this defeats the purpose of closing at 7 or otherwise restricting pick up times?
what if we want to restrict pickup times during dinner 4pm-6pm? a customer can still place an order at 4:15pm, they wont read their confirmation message and then show up expecting their food, which will cause major problems.
The feature needs to be changed so that orders cannot be placed when a restaurant does not want them to be placed, without having to login and manually toggle the on/off button. customers will always find a way to ignore messages, warnings and alerts. they need to be barred from actually submitting the order/payment.
hopefully this makes sense and your team will work on this issue. I know for certain we aren't the only ones with this issue.
