Hello, I connected my domain from Namecheap to Square Online 2 days ago and now the website is not secure. How can you install SSL for my website?
My website is www.eplusmon.com

Hey @californiablue1, I don't have access to the DNS records so I won't be able to do this on your behalf. When you are checking your domain in Namecheap, are you able to see the duplicate records at all? It might be worth asking Namecheap where the information might be as they'd have better access.
This shouldn't affect your use of Google G-Suite and other products!

Hi @californiablue1, sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue! There are a few things we can check here:
- Make sure that the A records are pointed to the correct IP address (199.34.228.164)
- If the A records are setup correctly, you can try to unpublish and re-publish the site from Website > General Settings
I hope this will help!

Thank you for your reply @tranguyen
I am using Namecheap.
I put A record and 199.34.228.164 in the IP address section.
Should I put www or @ in host section?
And after putting 199.34.228.164, should I wait for 48 hours to see it affect to my website?

Thanks for letting me know @californiablue1! I had a further look at the site and it looks like there are multiple A records currently not pointing to the right IP addresses. In this case, we'll need to remove all of these for it to work. You can also check it here.

Hello @tranguyen
Thank you for your rely.
I will talk to Namecheap and ask them to delete duplicate records.
I will get back to you again later.

Hi there @paigenicole0920,
It looks like your domain needs to be verified, we triggered the email to be sent to you regarding that. Once you verify that domain, the not secure notification should go away.

I am having a similar issue. I have pointed my DNS to Square, but am still getting a message that my site is not private. How long will it take before that message goes away? When I look inside of my account, it hows that everything is connected.
Thank you.

Hi @nikibray - Welcome to The Seller Community, it's always nice to see a new face 😊
It typically takes 24-48 hours for your SSL certificate to be enabled.
Please ensure that both of your A Records are pointing to 199.34.228.164 for best results.
Let me know how this goes.
As always, feel free to stop by The Community with question, concerns and even feature requests. We are more than happy to assist. ✨

It seems like it could be a caching issue on your end as I have tested from different devices and was able to access the site securely (see screenshot).
For browser issues, try the following troubleshooting tips:
-
Make sure that your browser is up to date. Here are instructions for how to do so for our supported desktop browsers: Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
-
Clear the cache on your browser. Instructions for clearing your cache will vary depending on your browser. Accessing the Help menu on your browser should allow you to locate step-by-step instructions.
-
Switch to a different browser: Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox. Double check that you are running the most up to date version of these browsers.
I hope this information is helpful @californiablue1.

@jj Hi JJ,
somehow, it says "SSL certificate is expired"
Digital Signature Trust Co.
DST Root CA X3
Expired Sep 30, 2021
Internet Security Research Group
ISRG Root X1
Certificate is not valid.
Let's Encrypt
R3
Certificate is not valid
Do you have any idea what it says above?
On my computer, I don't see the "key sign" next to the address and when I click there, it shows the above details saying that
the certificate is not valid.

Where you able to test the troubleshooting steps that I outlined above for Browser troubleshooting @californiablue1? It seems to be something local as I have tested from several devices and have not encountered the issue with the expired SSL.
