Custom App??

Has any discussion been made yet to allow sellers to offer a customized app for customers? I see Wix and commentsold are offering Apps in the App Store for customers to shop inside the app instead of having to go directly to the website. This would be MOST helpful if we as loyal Square users can also have this in the near future....

Square used to have the Order app that was tailored to your business, but that app was killed off a few years back. It's a sore subject for me, don't get me started.... 😉 LOL

There are a few third party providers that have created white label or shared apps that integrate into your Square account. I started using PoppinPay way back when they first launched. It has been exceptionally stable and I have had zero issues recently. (The only issue I really saw was lack of inventory integration; this has been fixed now) I'm not sure of the price point for new users, but when I signed up it was $249 one time for setup and $149/mo after. I usually make that price within the first day of the month.

Check out your Apps section of your dashboard. There are a few apps listed there.

Hey @UFB - yup this is totally available. 

Square has it's own developers community too & all the API's are public so you can get the developer of your choice to build your app! 

For me, it comes down to the cost of that, I've been able to have my site as a really nice responsive one that's been working really well on mobile all under my own brand. I'd not want a Square branded app or want to pay for a developer to maintain an app for a site that already works to well.
