I have a take-out Pizza business.
Order limiting works fairly well except under two specific circumstances:
1. If I need to alter the fulfilment time (for example: customer ordered for the wrong time) any subsequent orders ignore the modified fulfilment time and are allowed to be scheduled at the same time as this modified order. I believe this also means that the original order slot is now unavailable so I will lose revenue there and be up against it (or unable) to fulfil both orders now scheduled at the same time.
2. Walk-ins or manual orders entered using virtual terminal or the POS do not use the order limiting functionality. This is a show stopper at times and prevents me from even taking walk-in orders at busy times.
I'm told the Restaurant product addresses at least some of this but I think that is overkill (cost prohibitive) for my little pizza take-out.
If these issues also affect you (I cannot be alone here), please reply here to let Square know we want it!
Thanks
Hi @Sam_400º I notice you have a similar business to me, and that you are Seller Community member of the month (congrats!).
Do you have the same issue as me? How do you manage walk-ins (outside the Square environment) or modified Pickup times?
Thanks
