I have set the stock levels for all items, on one of my ranges in Square Online.
I then checked these quantities were correct in Square Up
Next I exported the library from Square Up to an Excel file
I located the items with "Current Quantity" column "O" in the spreadesheet, then added a new value (eight) in one of these items in "New Quantity" column "P". I saved the spreadsheet and Imported the library in Square Up. (confirming no changes to the headings).
Searching the Item in Square Up, I see the stock level has correctly updated (to eight).
But
Checking in Square Online, the stock level still displays the old value (six).
And checking the website, I can only add up to six of this item to the cart.
Do I need to force the sync from Square Up to Square Online after importing an updated library?
Stephen
By the way, thank you for now including item weight in the library export. That will save much time if I need to change these in future (assuming the weight synchronises correctly).
Hi @StephenClose - our team triggered a resync on their end just now which should catch up in the next 30 mins.
If that doesn't work they'll need to file a ticket for our engineers to take a closer look.
I mightn't have an update before 5 today so just letting you know and if a ticket is filed I'll be able to follow up next week!
Hi Stephen, thanks for your post!
I'm glad to hear the weight being included in the export is beneficial for you.
The stock levels should automatically update by themselves, however, sometimes there can be a delay of about 24 hours.
Usually, we'd suggest making a small edit to the item affected and saving it, which triggers the update but if this happening with your entire library that wouldn't really be ideal.
Another thing we can check from your Square Item Library, check your item variations and be sure there aren't two or more items with the same name.
If there are (even if these items have different prices or SKUs), differentiate them by adding a ‘.’ (full stop), ‘-’ (dash) or ‘/’ (forward slash) at the end of one name.
Doing this will cause items to resync.
Feel free to test with just one item and let me know if it works, and unpublishing and republishing your site is always a good call too. @StephenClose
Thanks for coming back on this @Breffni
I will leave the outstanding Square Online item and check tomorrow to see if this catches up with the Square Up quantity value.
@BreffniThe Item quantity originally created in Square Online and edited through the Square Up Excel spreadsheet Export/Import has still not updated in Square Online 😞
I have now added stock tracking to some more items, this time from Square Up site and selecting "stock received" as the reason. When these stock quantities are updated using the Excel spreadsheet Export/Import, the revised quantity is correct in both Square Up and Square Online.
Can you run some tests on these scenarios?
Thanks for letting me know @StephenClose - I can take a look if you can share a couple of items in particular that you have experienced this with.
@Breffni,The problem item is 307 (Gloriana Floss 307 Mesa Sunset).
The stock management was set up on all 261 Gloriana floss shades in Square Online.
Shade 307 was gived a stock level of 6 in Square Online.
The stock level was updated to 8 with a Square Up Export Excel spreadsheet, then Imported.
The new stock level was confirmed in Square Up, but the original value of 6 has remained in Square Online (and I can only select up to 6 when adding to the cart).
Today I have started setting the stock managerment in another range, Soie 100.3. This time I am setting the initial stock level in Square Up. I have tested updating some of these with a Export>Edit Excel>Import and confirmed these edited values were also updated correctly in Square Online.
My site is WestEndEmbroidery.com
Thanks @StephenClose - I have flagged this to the Square Online team. It sounds to be an indexing issue, hopefully, they'll be able to resolve it later today. I'll keep you updated!

@Breffni, I just checked and the quantity value for this item has now updated in Square Online.
Thank you and the Square Online team for your work on this.
Super - glad that worked @StephenClose!
