Online Checkout not showing in payment methods in POS app

I've added Square Online Checkout as a payment method in the Point of Sale app, but it is not showing among the other payment methods when I tap to charge for a POS transaction. The toggle is definitely switched on for Online Checkout in the Settings of the Point of Sale app, and in the preview it shows, but once I get to the real payment methods, Online Checkout is nowhere to be seen.

 

I have the most recent version of the app, to no avail. Can anyone tell me how to make it work?

Hi @emisoren, thanks for your post! Do you have multiple locations by any chance? At the moment, Square Online Checkout is not available in the Square Point of Sale app is not available for sellers who have more than one active location.

 

If you do not need to use the second location, you can deactivate it from your Square Dashboard and the option for Online Checkout should then be visible in the app for you (you may need to sign out and sign back in to see it). 

 

If you need to run two locations, you can still get a Checkout Link for the particular item and send it to the customers. From the app, you'll need to open the menu bar and navigate to Items > All Items. When you select the item you want, you can scroll down to Checkout link and be able to copy or send the link.

Thanks for your answer! I got it to work in the POS app, but tried on Square Terminal and it doesn't show as an option there even after following these instructions: https://squareup.com/help/gb/en/article/7105-get-started-with-payment-links-in-square-point-of-sale

 

Can you let me know if it's possible to add payment links on Square Terminal? The guide implies you can, but it looks like that's wrong.
