Links in Weebly/Square emails not working

Hi community,

I'm creating a marketing email under Marketing > Email, and everything is fine, except for when I add a URL to a line of text in the email.

For example, I've got a line in the email that says, "PRE-ORDER NOW", which I want to link through to a particular item on my website. When I click the insert/edit link button to add a URL to this piece of text, it seems the URL only "sticks" to a fraction of the sentence (i.e. the words "PRE-OR" are clickable but the rest of the line, "DER NOW" is not).

I am also having this issue with adding URLs to emails created under Communications > Email & Text Alerts. I have added a button to the Refund and Cancellation notification emails, however when I try to add a URL to these buttons, the link does not "stick" to the email.

Can you please let me know what the problem might be and why this is happening?

Thank you!

Hi @Prim 👋

I'm sorry to hear trouble has brought you back to the Seller Community - this sounds so frustrating!

One thing that comes to mind is the browser you're using - we recommend Google Chrome, and also clearing your cache :

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click More tools. Clear browsing data.
  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
  6. Click Clear data.

I'd also reach out to support if the URLs are still not sticking, so we can do some testing alongside you. Unfortunately, I'm not able to take a look at your marketing emails via this forum - otherwise, I'd try to see this from my end.
