Hi there,
I’m creating customer facing email alerts for my business, and having issue with some of the default text in two of the emails, that I cannot find a way to edit:
Order Prepared email:
The default subject line is, Your order is ready to be picked up!
We need this changed, as we are not offering a pick-up service, we’re only offering shipping. Further, we have chosen the headline in the email, Your order is ready to be shipped!, and want the subject line in the email to match.
Is there a way we can edit the subject line in the email to say, Your order is ready to be shipped!, instead?
Order Confirmation email:
The default subject line is, Your download is ready!
We need this changed, as we are selling children’s clothing only, with no digital products in our store. Further, we have chosen the headline in the email, Thank you for your order!, and want the subject line of the email to match.
Why is the default subject line saying your download is ready, and how can we change the subject line?
Appreciate any help that can be offered.
Thank you!
Hi @Prim!
It sounds like you're having some issues saving changes from your other post about URLs! Both subject lines on your Order Prepared and Order Confirmation emails can be edited - can you let us know if this works after clearing your cache and using Google Chrome? It sounds like these two issues you're seeing might be related. I also know how confusing it can be to see details about a digital download, or pickup instructions in the example email when this isn't something you offer. Your order emails will include the details matching your item type and delivery method, so a customer checking out with shipping selected, won't receive pick-up instructions, for instance.
Hi @Arie
Thank you for your response.
I have cleared my cache and using Google Chrome, having followed your instructions in your response to my other post.
Even after doing this, I still cannot edit the subject lines to change the default subject lines of the Order Confirmation and Order Prepared emails.
Can you access the backend of my website to check what the issue is?
On the right hand side of each email name, with the 3 dots, the only options are to edit the email and send an email test. I cannot see any option to edit the subject lines of these emails.
Thanks!
I'm sorry these steps haven't solved the email issue, @Prim!
I'm not able to access the backend of your website via this public forum, unfortunately. This is due to us needing to verify additional information to do this, via verbal confirmation. Give us a call on 1800 760 137 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm AEDT), so we can go through this security step and assist further.
