Hide categories in Shop All page

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: Online Shopping

Hello!  I have been using Square for a few years and using it for POS and in shop business. My business has become very very eclectic as I have multiple skills; some are services for in shop only and some that I want to sell online.  I have just set up my online shop. And this is where all the trouble is.
On the heading I have two different products. One is upcycled products and one is artwork. I am not sure how to sell them?  When I have SHOP ALL, everything comes up including the services I don’t want to sell on online.  All the online tutorials, have a demonstration of when you first start your online selling page as type in your categories. I already started my categories years ago. And when I go in to click them nothing comes up or everything comes up.

I would like under SHOP ALL to have category 1 and category 2. Then customers could click the one they’re interested in and see what I have for sale. I realize having a business with so many different things for sale complicates and it’s confusing enough for my customers. Anybody got any advice cause I seem to be struggling this for weeks. Thanks,

Hello @Amotmfa 👋

The Shop All page will show all products in your catalog that are visible online, or for that site in particular. The idea is to have one location within your website where customers can find all of your products.

We understand you might not be interested in selling some of your products online, which is why we made it easy to change the visibility of your products.

There's two ways to do this: hiding individual items and hiding entire categories.

Since you mention you've been working on your categories for a while, I would recommend hiding entire categories from your site and only leaving the ones you're interested in selling online visible.

You can do this from your Categories page. You can see the Online visibility for each category listed on the second column in this page; to change it, simply select a category and scroll down to channel visibility, then select the sites where you want this category visible or uncheck all sites to sell this category in person only.

Once you have changed the visibility of your categories, only the ones you checked your site for will appear on your Shop All page.

Let me know if this information was helpful!

If you run into issues, let me know and please share a link to your Online site so I can take a look and help out.

Thank you

Would I sell the products under each heading? Category one and list all that is for sale. And click category 2 and list it tinder that heading?

Not necessarily.

With the Shop All page, you will have a few options to arrange your products: by popularity, alphabetically, by price, custom, etc.

But all of your products will be shown when customers first enter this page. They can select a category from your menu and then only the items within that category will be shown.

Sounds like you want your categories to appear separately from the moment your customers load your shopping page. For this, it might be best to use a blank page and add a couple of Featured Categories sections.

If you do not want your customers to have access to the Shop All page, where they'll be able to see all of your products, not separated by category, you can remove any buttons on your home page that direct to your Shop All page.

Let me know if this works for you.

Thank you
