Fix the sort order for a products category page?

I have a few events that appear in a random order on the category page, but I really need them in date-order. Is there any way to do that?

Hi (again!) @wd40,

 

This is one I can actually give you some help on I reckon...

 

In your Square Online dashboard:

  1. Go to 'Website' > 'Edit Site'
  2. Select your store page (or specific category)
  3. Select 'Arrange & add items' button
  4. The dropdown has a bunch of options you can easily pick from
  5. Alternatively you can select 'Custom' from the dropdown and then drag the items in the list below to the order you want them in

 

Given your items / events are likely using dates that won't sort nicely alphabetically, it might be better to just stick with custom and adjust them yourself.

 

Alternatively, if you're adding them in order of date, you could use 'New to old' or whatever and this would automatically manage it for you as you add new items / events (so you don't have to come back in here every time and adjust).

Thanks again @dieterslicke ... I've managed to delete all my categories, so I couldn't find the "Arrange & add items" button. I did however notice that in the items editing overall the order was odd - presumably the order I added them in (who knows). Anyway, you can jiggle them around in there, and now they're all ordered perfect, so I'm all set!
