Feature Request: Invoice Expiration Date & Time Option

Hello Square Team,

I’d like to request the addition of a feature that allows sellers to set a custom expiration date and time on invoices.

This feature would be incredibly helpful for small business owners like myself who rely on invoicing to manage inventory and streamline sales. Being able to add a clear deadline would:

• Create a sense of urgency for customers to complete their transactions

• Help free up held inventory from unpaid invoices more efficiently

• Improve overall cash flow and order processing

Currently, customers often sit on invoices for days, which delays fulfillment and impacts our ability to accurately track available stock. Having an expiration feature—similar to what some e-commerce carts use—would encourage faster decisions and make the process more efficient for both sellers and buyers.

Thank you for considering this enhancement. It would truly be a game-changer for those of us who operate in fast-paced sales environments.

Great Idea @LadyFe .

Question for you, have you considered adding in a late fee to your invoices?  Giving the customer x amount of days to pay, and then having a late fee kick in for any day past that.

While this may not solved the issue entirely, it may entice those customers to pay their bill quicker before incurring additional charges.  

Just some food for though while your request gets exposure.
