Customer Account Statements

Customer Account Statements

Hello,

Sometimes we are put in a position where account statements would come in handy for our customers that accumulate several invoices, especially when they are overdue.

Right now we have to manually export the the invoices out of square via .csv or we just use screenshots of the outstanding invoices and type out what's owing/which invoice was paid by which payment method, etc. We also utilize the heck out of invoice reminders but some of our clients still get confused.

It's a lot of manual work being done. Account statements would be an excellent feature to have and for most businesses at some point their customers will request a statement so they can see a simplified breakdown.

@Square please get this feature added!

We run into a need for this every month and it would be a huge benefit to us and to our customers. It’s one of the very few reasons I’ve considered another option for a POS  system.

We do a similar process now with csv export and annual printing in excel, but it sucks, is very time consuming, and prone to errors.

Square have recommended two accounting SW packages that 'integrate ' with Square to facilitate production of customer statements. I have tried two of them (Sage and Big Red Cloud) and neither work. If Square are not going to facilitate customer statements, then they need to come up with a real solution!

Status changed to: Open

Hey there, @hytekcomputers. I’ve gone ahead and changed the status of this feature request to “Open”. You provided a great assessment of the potential business use/need for something like this on our platform from a seller’s perspective. This is a useful tool for our Product Team to use as they build the future of our products. As more information becomes available, a Community moderator will come in and change the status letting all of the subscribed sellers know.

JJ, are you aware that the Square Community have been asking for Customer Statements since 2016. If your 'Product Team' have still not looked into it, I would say that Customer Statements are not on their agenda at all!

Would Square please provide an honest answer regarding their policy on this issue.

Regards

Toby

A monthly statement option would be very beneficial.  Other wise I have to manually enter them into my quickbooks accounting program and then once the invoices are paid I have to manually enter that information as well.

Thanks,

Shannon

Shannon,

As you may have seen, lack of customer statements has been an issue since at least 2016. Square, despite their assurances don't seem to be doing anything about facilitating customer statements. If they would only be honest and upfront with their customers and at least give some real indication about whether this facility will ever be available?

Unfortunately, none of the online, independent product reviews have identified that Square POS has no facility for customer statements. An important point when making a decision about implementing a new POS system.

Perhaps if we all keep posting, Square may look at allowing us to provide statements for our customers?

@Square Get this added...currently its on Zoho Invoice

aminsunny1990,

I have tried a number of accounting packages that integrate with Square POS, but all they do is log the recording a figure for total daily sales. No facility for individual customer statements. If Zoho is fully integrated we would all be delighted ☺

VERY MUCH AGREE. We really could use the option to send manual/automated monthly statement. We've been asking for this for a while. Hopefully they'll do this soon. I see posts all the way back to 2016 asking for this. This feature is a MUST for any accounting/billing software.

I have a customer that is requesting a monthly statement, I can create it manually but do not want to spend the time doing it if the feature is already available. Any updates about if this feature has been added even if it is through invoices plus?
