WISH LIST ITEMS FOR SQUARE APPOINTMENTS

AUTOMATED WAIT LIST - A waitlist that my staff can use that allows options/thresholds such as > date time frame > appointment/service > service provider or any employee then if the criteria is met, square automatically text/emails the client to offer the spot

 

CLIENT CHECK IN FUNCTION - When clients walk in, I would like to select the appointment and have a button that functions as a pager for staff to come out and greet their clients.

 

"BOOK NEXT" FUNCTION ON THE REGISTER - It's only available on my laptop and would increase prebooking workflow and moral, why isn't this option available on square registers?

 

DRAG AND DROP/COPY APPOINTMENTS - drag appointment lengths longer or shorter, drag appointments to other service providers (e.g. a service provider calls out or client needs different appointment > it would be AMAZING to drag and drop anywhere), copy appointments to a side bar then find dates and paste it in. 

 

GRATUITY ON SERVICES ONLY!? - We have a service business but also have retail, this issue has been on the radar for years and still no fix. If a client gets a service and buys a purse from our boutique they shouldn't tip on the purse. When can we expect a fix on this?

I’d like to add….

 

Option to print client info for each appointment.  Sometimes it’s not feasible to cart around a laptop or tablet. Having a printable option so they stylist can make notes about formulas, consult topics, etc.  Then at the end of the day transcribe those details into the clients notes.

I’d love a pop up feature too but I’ve been using the notes feature and setting a date/time to get an alert. Let’s say you want to remember to talk to a client about something, you could make a note then set a day/time to remind you. It could be the day of the appointment or a week before. It’s not exactly like a pop up but helpful.

Your suggestions are great, but literally all I want is Square Appointments to sync to my Google Calendar without having to pay $29!!!!! It’s outrageous Square doesn’t offer any sort of notification reminders (for team members, not clients) or calendar sync for free.

Whooohooooooooo we now have a notification alert now when someone adds them selfs to the waitlist!!

Oh! I thought it was a waitlist within the appointments software not for the beta program. My clients could use a wait list.

Technically it kind of is. It’s apart of the appointments. So a client can go to my online booking and if they don’t see a date and time that works they can add themselves to the waitlist. 

feel free to have a look at how it works on the client end.  Then when someone puts themselves on my waitlist it notifies me on my end. Which is awesome!!

I see it! But my appointments don't offer it and I cant find where to toggle that functionality on! @Olive @Stephanie do you know how to do this?

YES to all of this!  I hope you pop over to ideate section and gold star all of these in there and a review.  The more of us in that section asking for these things the more likely they will get delivered.  I know a few of them are in beta but pop over to the feature request secions of each of these and add your two cents!

This wish list is amazing!!!! Yes and yes to all of these things.  We do now have an text alert to show when a client adds themselves to the wait list.  Square is working on the wait list feature as we speak so remember we're at the basic features at the moment...but...with a wish list like this we can definitely all benefit from.   But I thought that there was an option that you could turn tipping off on "items" and that the bug was fixed by Square.

I would love to know about the tipping option ... if it was category specific maybe? Asking everyone to "custom tip" is kind of a pain.
