Adding / Editing an EGift Card Label

We want to be able to label the gift cards so there is a way to determine if the gift card was purchased for a specific special at a discounted rate or if it is only meant for a specific service. Is there way to do this?

For clarification: we do not want to pre-check out a service before it was provided to the buyer. We want to sell them a gift card that can then be used later. This may work for certain service specials, but for shared gift cards meant for specific services, it will not work.

So all the Gift Cards would be generic to your store, but once you sold it you would like to add a Barcode to only let the gift card be used for a certain service?

I do not believe you can do this with Square.  The only thing I can think of is using a Computer to print a Barcode or 2D barcode that you have codes for and your sales person would have to make sure the gift card is only good for certain transactions.  The barcode or 2D code would not do that either.

You could use Google Sheets to make Barcodes that fit your Labels, fill in cell A1 for example with Text ( or your own code), copy column A1 to A2 and the select a Barcode or QR font for cell A2.  Then Print Cell A2.  You would then print out 1 to XXX how ever many you want at the checkout, then slap the Sticker on when the gift card is sold.  Another issue would be if Gift Card is only good for X items, and your cashier rings up X,Y, and Z items there is no way to automatically apply Gift Card purchase to ONLY the X item.
