Sign up for our newsletter get 10% Discount

We had a customer today who wanted to buy something and signed up for our newsletter to receive the 10% discount, but never received a code.  I can see where she signed up for our newsletter.  I even did a test with an old email of mine that I've never used on the website, and I see it's been saved, but I never received the code.  Obviously there's a missing link since when I go into the marketing section, the summary, email, automated, mailing list, and segments tabs are

all giving ERROR 404.  How do I fix this?

Hi, this seemed to be my issue the other day.  I have fixed it now.  But now that link no longer works.  Just in case someone else is looking for the same kind of assistance.

Discount features are limiting. It can't handle multiple promotions. For example, if I have an item at 30% and want to bundle the item and offer a second promotion BOGO at Buy 2 get 1 at 50% off, the BOGO deal will not override the single item 30% off.

Discount features are limiting? that's an understatement 😂 What about wanting to offer 10% off on one particular product? Square only calculates the 10% off on the first  of said discounted products. So if the customer buys 3 of that product, two are charged at full price. A feature request to fix that was made in 2024!!!       - the whole square discount philosophy is deeply flawed, as if its designed by IT folks who never see daylight

I am building an open source add on to try and address my own gaps, its in my github if you want to try and address these types of issues you can also make a feature request - with the AI boom ive been prototyping and requesting at the same time

We had that issue a couple of weeks ago.  We had a sale of 35% off tops, and when you buy a bottom item you get 50% off the bottom item.  We couldn't do it online, because this wouldn't work.  So it was only an in-store sale.  Very frustrating.

Square is playing with my head these days. 

I had this set up, it worked, but now I'm getting the Error 404 again.  

However, I have another issue with this sign up for marketing emails and get 10% off.  We've had people sign up, but when I look at their customer profile in the customer directory, it says that she's not subscribed.

Would the fact that she completed this pop up box, mean that she's subscribed for marketing emails?

I’d be interested on this answer as well since I’ve had a ton of sign ups for emails, and no one claim their 10%.  Are they getting these ?

I could be wrong but i think there is still a legacy marketing sign up option on the website that doesn't work anymore if you activate it. Then you have the new marketing integration. But old setups were still actively available on sites for a long time. This could be the case here

 

This might be worth flagging to someone - looking at @DebbieatLDD screenshot I think that is the old one. @tranguyen for vis/input
