How many product photos do you upload per item

With AI becoming more and more common, have you started adding more photos to your items? We used to just add one photo; now we are adding more, especially AI models wearing our clothing. Over the holidays, I would like to add video, but Square doesn’t offer that feature in the photos, and the only way to do it is to add a YouTube link in the description. I want to play around with it to see how it looks.

Do you think adding more photos helps to sell the item better?

If we offer more than one color, we try to add a pic for each one.  We have slowly been adding the color to the modifier for our different color options, so it is already in there and saves us a little bit of work.

We have a few items with color modifiers, we have already added the color photos for that.

I definitely think it matters if you're selling clothing.  I usually add a front pic, side pic, and back pic.  I would love to add a video of me showing all those angles.

I wish Square would make it easier to add videos to items

Looks like a feature request type of function....

It would be a nice feature.

Definitely.  It helps folks get more information about the featured product visually and, in general, increases sales.

While we mostly sell plants and pots, we usually try to include multiple images of any hardgoods (every color, ever size, different angles, pots with plants in them and w/out, etc.). Overall we're trying to replicate the experience a customer would have in our shop where they can see the piece in 3D.

Square needs to add the feature where you can virtually place the plants in your house.  Your business sounds like it would be an ideal candidate for that feature.

Use an AI tool to create such images, and upload them.

I think it you have the time/resource to add more photographs can only help. We generally add a minimum of three which are a picture of the prodcut in its packaging, out f its pack, an image of the pack ingredients and in some cases if its an interesting product a few lifestyle images.

Yes, adding more photos really helps because buyers can see the product from different angles and imagine how it looks in real life. AI models or lifestyle shots make it even more appealing, and videos (even via YouTube links) can boost interest a lot. As I had to move a lot of photos and videos data of the product so I made sure to have an efficient data sharing application like dropbox or xender app.

Thanks for sharing your ideas! Just a quick note: the link for the Xender app is incorrect — it should be https://xender.com/.

For clarity, Xender is a file-sharing app used to quickly move files between devices without internet. For example, a seller could transfer product photos from an Android phone to a laptop for uploading, send videos from an iPhone to an iPad for editing, or move files from a phone to a MacBook or PC when updating listings.

Dropbox works differently — it stores files online so they can be accessed from anywhere. Xender is better for fast, direct transfers; Dropbox is better for cloud storage and backups.
