Google automation

Friends of mine own a few small businesses in Sydney. Covid hit hard and they struggled to keep the businesses running. I had just sold my tech startup at the time and had some time to spare, so I volunteered to help them with the tech/marketing. After taking over their Google profiles, I noticed they did not  receive any new Google reviews and the businesses were hardly visible on Google listing. So I attempted to email asking existing customers for reviews but it was proven to be time consuming. It’s also not effective because the emails were too late for customers to remember the purchases.

To scratch my own itch, I wrote an app that automatically sends Google review invites after every customer purchase. The app brought in new Google reviews week after week, freed me from all the time and effort asking customers manually.

I’ve made the app available for public use and it has since helped businesses to collect and manage tens of thousands of Google reviews.

Today, I am excited to share that we've integrated the app with Square to help Square businesses grow Google reviews automatically. It takes a few clicks to turn on the integration. After which, the app will send review invitations automatically after each customer purchase with a receipt. It also addresses negative reviews and grows social channels, giving businesses a good chance to rise up in Google rankings and be visible to more customers.

As part of the Square integration launch, we’re making the app & our Square integration free for the next 50 Square businesses to sign up. If you’re interested, feel free to enable the integration here https://reviewcircle.com/square.html

Cheers,

Ok this is very concerning. Why would your app request permission that gives the warning saying that if i grant permission it would enable the app to “see, edit, create, and delete your google business listing “?IMG_7524.jpeg

Hi there,

We definitely understand our user concerns and I think Google did a great job in raising awareness. At the same time, this is the only API scope that Google provides to all Google app partners, even though our app never uses the delete scope. If you use any applications in this space, you will see the exact same scope being asked.

I also want to note that, we have worked with Google partner team and have completed our partner verification process. The process required our team to submit application flows, demo, and API scopes for Google team to check and approve. Apps would not even be able to ask for permissions, had they not been verified by Google.

My co-founders and I have also founded prior tech companies and led them to SOC2 and ISO27001 compliance. We're committed to building the best product in the space and, more importantly, protecting our customer data.

You can also try the app with a test Google business profile first to see the quality of the app, prior to connecting your main Google profile.

I hope that clears some doubts. Feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] if you have questions or want to jump on a call for a chat. I'd love to learn from your feedback.

Thank you,

Tam.

Hi @tam-rvc

When you say free to the next 50 Square businesses, are you referring to the free starter plan? Or a free period of the Pro plan?

Thanks

Claire

Hi Claire,

Our Square integration feature is free for the next 50 businesses to enable Square. After that, Square feature will be transitioned into our Pro plan. Those who've signed up prior to the transition will be grandfathered, so you can continue to stay on our Free plan and still be able to access Square integration.

I hope that makes sense.
