Do you offer free shipping or flat rate shipping?

If so, what is your order minimum for free shipping?

I sell vinyl records on my site. $5 flat-rate shipping, with orders $50+ shipping free.

I recently added an additional option to add insurance either shipping options for an additional $3.

I do a flat rate shipping of $8, and I have not decided whether to do a free shipping option yet.

We do flat rate $5 shipping for orders under $100. Free shipping on orders over $100. 

Sometimes a person will order a heavy product and we will make a loss on the order. Perhaps we need to consider the size and weight of the products we put on our online store. Any recommendations?

Our shipping starts at 6.95 and then a $1 per item after the first item.  Sometimes we lose especially if it's going across the country.  Sometimes we run specials anything over $49.99 gets free shipping or we do 29.99 with 15% off and leave the shipping.
