Web interface dashboard has changed, can we change it back ?

We run a restaurant and I use the web interface at home to monitor the business, recently the dashboard page has changed and become less useful, ie best sellers gone, cash and credit gone, catagory sales gone, items sales gone etc etc, its become pretty unusefull as a management tool, the Dashboard app on my phone has more info but us old chaps prefer a 27inch screen ! Can we get it back ?

You're absolutely right that the Dashboard has been updated recently. The good news is that all those valuable reports you mentioned haven't been removed - they've just been relocated to a different section of the Dashboard.

When you sign in to the Square Dashboard, navigate to the Reports page, where you'll find all of your reports:

Cash and Credit Breakdown: Reports > Payments > Payment Methods
Item Sales: Reports > Sales > Item Sales
Category Sales: Reports > Sales > Category Sales

So instead of the basic information all in one place, then having the ability to drill down to higher levels of detail in diferent locations....the Update has given us less basic information on the primary screen...an update is meant to improve the software, not make it less usefull. IE the word dashboard comes from obviously a vehicle where all the basic vehicle telemetry and information is located. You don't have to lean over to the passenger side of the car and open the glove box to see the petrol gauge. or fold the drivers seat back to see a temperature gauge. The basic information you need to drive and control the car is all in view.

Thank you for your candid feedback about the Dashboard update. You're right that updates should improve functionality, not make it more cumbersome to access critical business data.

While I can't promise any future changes to the Dashboard layout, your perspective is valuable as we continuously evaluate how our interface serves business owners like you.

In the meantime, I recommend that you bookmark your most frequently used reports in your web browser for quick access with direct links to your desired report pages.

The new dashboard is entirely useless. The gauge presentation of sales in completely misplaced.  That is a graph that is useful to know when the gas in your car is low not to show hourly sales or show busy times comparatively to previous year.  I constantly return to version 1 in the upper right hand corner to go back to the better version.  I think the person/people who fashioned the BETA version don't have a clue about what is important or meaningful to small business.

@Paul_ElTrastero As with all beta rollouts, the capability to switch back and forth doesn't stay long.  The new dashboard IS the dashboard now, and returning to a previous version has been removed.

+1 for providing an option to choose what is available in your dashboard; we also dislike the limited data now provided.
