Report Inconsistencies between the Dashboard Team Sales Report and POS App Sales Report

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Reports are inconsistent across platforms, mobile sales report is useless.

 

Hi Square team,

 

We currently use the team sales report to process payroll as each customer could have one or more technicians working on their service. I've vetted that the report is accurate for commission and tip distribution, but the problem is there is no team sales report in the mobile / tablet application. The current sales report that shows up as the only option on these platforms allows for a date range, device, and team member filter. When filtering down by these options and comparing the sales report to the team sales report in the web portal, it is completely wrong and misleading, despite using the same exact filters. This makes the sales reports that the employees can view on their own completely useless. 

 

Please help me to understand how a platform this size can't show a simple weekly sales report by team member across platforms and be consistent.

You've highlighted an important difference between our reporting tools. The Team Sales Report on Square Dashboard provides detailed information including tips and commissions for individual employees, while the Sales Report in Square POS apps (including the Appointments app) only displays total tips without commission tracking.

For your employees who'd like to view their individual tips and commission data, I recommend they use the Square Team app instead. This dedicated app provides the tips and commission information they need:

If you'd like to see these additional metrics (such as employee-specific tips and commission tracking) integrated into the Square POS apps Sales Report, I encourage you to submit a Feature Request here. When submitting, please include specific details about how this functionality would benefit your business and team.

In the meantime, have your employees download the Square Team app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store and sign in with their team member profile credentials (email and password) to access their detailed earnings breakdown.
