Inventory Sell Through not showing all items. We use this to manually review inventory

We use the Inventory Sell Through report to manually track the items in our shop. I ran the reports by category and then exported to Excel for tracking. I noticed that some of the items are missing. I can't see any reason in the item screen that they would be missing. Note - most of these items are new since Square changed the way Items are manually added - but some aren't. Any help would be appreciated

Hey @Fandv  — thanks for flagging this. When I look into it, I inventory tracking must be on, and an item or variation must have been sold or had an inventory adjustment within the last 365 days for a sell-through report to generate for that item or its variations.

 

Have these items been sold or adjusted recently? Have you noticed this happening before? Any additional details you can share would be really helpful.

 

@Candlestore  — do you have any insight into why this might be happening?

Hi there. Thanks for the reply. These items have been sold recently. What you said makes good sense, so I had already looked into it. I’ve reviewed the items in the Item Catalog and can see nothing different about them at all. Some items have been in inventory for a while. Others were new. We’re a wine shop so it’s bottles of wine that turn over quickly, for many of them. I did an export from Items for all inventory, I don’t see any pattern to the field settings, etc.

I really appreciate your patience. If you’d like me to investigate this further, could you share a few examples of the items that are missing from the report, along with the date range you’re using? That will help me dig in more effectively.

Hi @Fandv .  When I have our items on a sale I use the field Online Sale Price in the Variations section of your Item.  If it is not showing up, you can click the small circle with a plus on it and add the field.  This has worked for us, so it shows up on our website that is on a promotional sale without having to click on the item.
