Auto Screen Rotate not working
Hi there
I use square on a number of devices which are IOS and neve had any issues, just purchased an andriod device which is a Lenovo Tab M8 and the auto rotate works fine on every single thing on the device but square, it will not rotate to be horizontal. It is very frustrating. Can someone help, I have rung square support but they say its not an issue, the device is up to date with all device updates, square has been uninstalled and downloaded three times there - it is a new device but WILL NOT rotate to horizontal within the square app.

Hi @hip22 thanks for reaching out to let us know. I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties using the app on your Android device.
While the ability to use Square Point of Sale in landscape mode on Android mobile devices is unavailable, you can still use Android tablets in landscape mode.
You may have already gone through these steps with our support team but see below for my suggestions.
Firstly, let's disable and re-enable your auto-rotate settings, to do so:
1. Find and turn on the "Auto-rotate" tile in the quick-setting panel.
2. You can also go to Settings > Display > Auto-rotate screen to turn it on/off.
You may also need to disable the Screen Overlay setting on your device, to do so:
1. Open Settings on your device.
2. Visit your Apps section.
3. Select More > Special Access > Draw over other apps or the Apps that can appear on top menu.
4. Toggle off the permission for all apps that have it enabled.
If those suggestions don't work, I've linked an article here with some tips on troubleshooting auto-rotate and landscape mode on Android devices. Give these steps a try and if this doesn't resolve the issue, I suggest reaching back out to our support team for advanced technical support.
