[New] Access more of what Square has to offer with modes in Square Point of Sale

Hi sellers!

With the latest update of Square Point of Sale, we have introduced modes. Modes allow you to set up your POS with features, settings, and tools designed for your industry.

Each mode is tailored to a specific business type and contains the features of the following products:

• Full service, Quick service, and Bar modes - Square for Restaurants
• Retail mode - Square for Retail
• Bookings mode - Square Appointments 
• Services mode - Square Invoices
• Standard mode - Square Point of Sale

If you're logging in to Square POS for the first time, you’ll see a suggestion for a mode that may best match your business needs. You can proceed with the suggested mode or browse other options to pick the mode that is right for your business. 

If you’ve logged in before, modes are located in the More > Settings portion of the Square POS app. You can add a new mode or change your mode at any time.

ℹ️ For information about how to manage modes, review the Use modes with Square Point of Sale Support Center article. Modes are only available in the Square Point of Sale app. Download the app on iOS or Android.
