How are you all celebrating in your shops? What kind of deals are you offering?
We have a Pride event on our street, so I'm also looking for ideas on how to better this event!
Thanks!๐ณ๏ธโ๐
Hi @withinspiritnj. Like you, we are in the middle of it all. Pride here in Northern Kentucky will take up the street where we are located as well as the big city park next to us. It has been that way for over a decade so weโve been able to be a part of it by just doing what we always do. Of course, it helps that we are known in the community and have a strong following in the community.
Of course we decorate, starting June 1. Pride bunting on the fences, pride flags, etc. We leave that up for the entire month of June. If anyone doesnโt already know that we ownerโs are queer, itโs pretty obvious once you get here. LOL. My employees are all Gen Z and all allies, one of them identifies as trans. They all can wear what they want on their uniforms and uniform caps. Of course, they all choose to wear something pride related, but if one decided not to participate that way itโs not an issue.
This year we are continuing something we started last year โ pride flag sprinkles. We have created sprinkle sets in the major pride flag colors (trans, non-binary, bi, etc) and we have the colors to create others that our customers might choose. Hereโs a photo of what we had last year.
The point is find something creative to do that is who you are โ as a business, as an individual. Most of all, just enjoy the party!
Love this, @TheRealChipA! Makes for a great tradition! ๐ณ๏ธโ๐
Would this be a good place to ask if anyone here sells small (handheld) Progress Pride flags? I have purchased them from random Etsy sellers before but if one of you do, Iโd like to support your business.
