In addition to being the Treasurer and Webmaster for GAAMC.org, I am also the Editor of our Pride Guide. We haven't published an updated version for several years. I am considering changing our format to a nationwide, online directory.
This directory would not be a simple, static list, as it is now, but would encourage the public to join the site and review the providers they have patronized. Also, it encourages members to rate others' reviews.
If I created this, would you want to be listed for free?
Would you be willing to place inexpensive ads (once there is a critical mass of listings, of course)?
Hey @AndySNJ, I love the sound of a nationwide online directory and I could see how the option to leave reviews would help build credibility online. Out of curiosity, are you looking to set this up with a third party service or would this be more of a custom build?
Interested to hear thoughts from other members. ๐ฏ
Hi Tom, I am not sure I understand your question. I would build it myself. I would not hire someone to create the site.
Yep, you got it โ that's what I was wondering about. That's totally amazing!
Sounds like a great plan. I'm just starting out myself so any free advertisement at the moment would be amazing. Down the road, if everything goes well then paying would be an option.
I would also be interested in a national directory. It is something I have thought about but I don't know enough to get one started. Please keep us updated about such a thing.
