that would be a great feature @lgbtfresno as sending coupons to redeem on a customer's phone would be very convenient. I have not tried this but you could do an experiment...barcode scanners need to have their light reflected back and a phone screen cannot do this...so maybe if you lay a piece of vellum or lightweight paper over a phone screen (that would still allow the barcode to show and offer contrast), yet still have a paper/plastic surface to reflect the light back to the barcode scanner?
I'll try this myself when I'm back in the store this week, but just thinking out loud here. I hope you can find a solution and please update us if you find something that works.
